Welcome to Grandma's CookBook
Nice of you to pop by. I created this site because as a child my Nanna
(Grandma) was the most amazing cook ever, I have memories of being
at her house on baking day and helping her with the weighing and mixing
and most importantly the tasting - yummy.
I can still remember the fantastic cooking smells
that used to come from the kitchen when I went to visit her for dinner.
And now as a grandma myself I like to think that
they are the memories that I will create for my grandchildren!
Great Grandmas Cookbook is full of exciting recipes
and ideas for your kitchen. I like to cook the old time favorites
but I also like to try out newer recipes as well, and here on Great
Grandma's Cook Book I am going to include a wide variety.
I have set his site up so that it is simple and
easy for you to use.
You'll notice on the left hand side you will
find links to recipes, articles and conversion tables, these links
will take you to pages of relevance.
Also at the top you will find a link that will
always bring you back to the home page.
The next link (More Recipes and Articles) will
take you to my site index page where you will always find links to
everything on the site, conveniently organized to make it easy to
follow.
You'll also notice at the bottom of every recipe
and article page you'll find a link to the previous article or recipe
as well as the next.
I will be posting articles as well and I would
love it if you would like to join in - send me your hints and tips

If you have a special favorite or 2 :-) that
you would like to see on here please email it to me with your story
of the recipe, your name and where you're from and I will be happy
to post it onto the site. We all have different variations on many
recipes so if you have recipes that you have modified send them in

As I am from England a lot of my recipes will
be foods that I grew up with and that I cooked for my eldest daughter,
one of her all time favorites is corn beef hash, which she has specifically
asked me to include.
My husband and I have 3 children at home as well
and they love it when baking day comes around, they all get involved
and we always try to prepare good home cooked food for them. To be
honest with you my husband is a wonderful cook and he likes to make
his own recipes up so I am going to include some of those in here
to. We have come up with some really wild dishes, especially with
left-over's. Not all of them work out but the majority do and that
is one of the fun parts of being in the kitchen making use of last
nights dinner with a twist...
